They ought to have the ability to block their precise cards from being used to purchase items to prevent their kids from taking
RuneScape gold out of their own bag. They should also have the ability to control the chat filter choice on their kids' account, and other such things. As a parent, I can tell you that building a relationship with the parents will go a long way in letting their kids play your own game. This also provides you with an avenue to market mtx/membership into the parents about Christmas, the kid's bday etc. as a gift they could buy their children.
Just like all things, things must get better over time to allow folks to remain engaged. That is understandable. But to be quite clear, T80 armour on TH isn't acceptable. Produce a transparent, runescape participant feedback driven, list of everything will, and will not be allowed from the new oddments store. IMO this will land in: lamps, celebrities, silverhawk feathers, springs, auras, portables, pulse cores, elite skilling outfits, cosmetics. There may be a couple of things I've missed. T90 is not commonly used lol. Individuals have access to bonds should they would like to purchase t80 armours from MTX. Bonds add value to the general match, TH does not.
IMO highscores are useless already. According to people I have mentioned this also, that feeling is not global. Locate a means for non-MTXers to be able to brag in their MTX-less accomplishments. Whether this is by detailing xp from lamps vs xp organically gained, or even a star next to their name on the highscores if there is no MTX, perhaps a natural HS and an overall HS, I do not know. But the point is that individuals don't wish to be'outdone' in the runescape sport by individuals wealthier than them in actual life. For runescape players such as myself who want to conserve time, I don't care when people see that I MTX'd my own divination so this will not impact your mtx earnings figures, but it will please those who are anti-MTX and sense their accomplishments are being devalued by the sale of XP.
When I think of the MTX heavy games (battle of clans, game of warfare, fifa for example), I notice that they aren't subscription based games, they are freemium. Notably Fifa has an upfront cost, but the Fifa disc provides you a whole lot greater than FUT (it's MTX driven mode). Runescape is freemium, and membership fee to get access to anything meaningful, and you're going to add RunePass / a superior choice? Here's my biggest and boldest idea: become a freemium game on
rsgoldfast and eliminate membership fees. Like I mentioned -- I cover premier and over the course of this entire year I average out at about 6minutes a day -- this isn't a notion stemming out of me being too cheap to pay for membership.
