The report garnered attention partly because franchise mode is a major issue with certain
Madden 22 coins. Indeed, the promised roadmap initially came as a result of the #fixmaddenfranchise campaign , which was popular on Twitter around mid-2020. The campaign was started following reports that EA wasn't planning improvements to franchise mode in the year prior.
Since this time, EA has released new commissioner tools, as well as other improvements with a major overhaul of its scouting tools. Madden 22 also introduced an enhanced scenario engine, season-long cutscenes and coaching skill trees.
